The Naked and Famous – Video Album

Description

Ride or Cry was tasked with creating a music video for every song on the “Simple Forms” album by the band “The Naked and Famous.” As editor, I created a cohesive experimental storyline that spanned across all 10 videos, utilizing flash-backs and flashforwards, ghosting, and other editing tricks to hint at structure and foreshadowing.

The videos were released out of order over the span of months and the audience engaged in trying to piece the story together, looking at context clues, and participated in a much larger scale narrative than just that of watching a music video. To date, the collective video album as a whole has more than 2 million views.
